Just had a text ‘You are now eligible to receive your COVID 19 booster. Visit https://www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or call 119 to book.’ Just wondering if it is a scam as it doesn’t mention either my name or my husband’s name, so how are we supposed to know who the text is for? Thanks all.

If it's to your phone I presume it's for you.
it doesnt look like a scam - 119 is the correct number
Never click on a link you dont know or are unsure of. Instead type it in.

Or call the number you will soon find out.

We both use the same phone, all appointments for hospital appointments go to this phone, and either one of our names is usually at the top of the message.
Give them a ring and ask.
Perhaps it's for both of you.
I've checked with Ofcom and the police, Naomi, and being the owner of a phone does not guarantee that text messages are legit.
what have you checked with offcom and the police?
Of course not. If I wasn't sure I wouldn't click on any links but giving them a ring will clarify it for you. It sounds genuine to me.
If you google nhs uk covid vaccination it takes you to the same page - it's legit. It will then ask you for your nhs number etc

Yes it was for my husband but not for me…. Thanks all
119 is the correct phone number, plus what would anyone gain by you calling it.
// plus what would anyone gain by you calling it.//

Scammers could include the number so it looks legit but the link could be dodgy.
Chelle, agreed but I was referring to calling the number.
Glad you're sorted.
Thats the text I had, it's ok.

Danny it seemed to me you were saying as the number is correct it can't be a scam, apologies if i misunderstood
Chelle :-)
