Please explain these
1. Following river away from source, divers get exhausted, Ans Run dry ( get exhausted like the Co2 supply). Can’t see how the cryptic works.
2. Jack and the others are hidden side by side. Ans Abreast. There is Ab for Jack and rest for others but can’t see where the second a would come from and why it would be within rest.
3.Jack and one other making big innings . Ans Doubleton (200 runs is a big score by any “batter”) . Who or what is the Jack this time and who or what is the one other?
4. To reveal age of man is out of order. Ans date (reveal age of) but how does the cryptic work?
5.Exhausted, first back in compound. Ans Nitrite (and not nitride per printing). Can’t see it at all -if it had been nitride there is tired mixed up.

1 r(iver) (s)undry (divers)
R(iver) + (s)UNDRY = 'divers' and 'away from source means losing the start of it.
'are' = A
4 (man)date (order)
(man)DATE = 'order'
Jack in cards
3 Jack is a playing card, and the other one is another Jack
2 Jacks = a doubleton
'trite' = 'exhausted' (after 'in' backwards).
