Mine usually arrive instantly if someone says to me 'I've just emailed you' but there could be cases when that doesn't happen JJ.

I had mislaid an insurance policy and spoke to an operator about 6.30pm LOL and she said she had it in front of her and would email me a copy.

Have I expected too much? LOL

It could take a while sometimes they say they are sending straight away but don't. Lots of companies assign their emails to be sent automatically at night

If she didn't say she would do it straight away, she might have more urgent things to deal with and will send it when she has time.

I'm sure I'll get it tomorrow. I don't know what is happening to me lately. I'm careful with my policies but today I have mislaid that Home and Contents and a separate one with Motor Insurance but hopefully copies are on their way.

When son in Dublin sends me an email, I get it straightaway in London.

remember an email has the same status as
'the cheque is in the post, honest'

so they will do it imminently but not immediately

well - just received the Policy and have printed it out - you know what I never received it in the beginning. I knew that in my heart as I have been putting my insurance documents in the same old place for 30 years.

Some time back - I received a phone call from a "worker from home" on the phone who wanted a lot of details etc. Neighbour took the call as it was arranged but the caller did not follow up by sending me the paper Policy. Now it will go to its rightful place.
