On Monday, petrol quequ's for filling stations were litterally backing up on to the slip roads and dual carrigways....
On Thursday (today) nothing but empty forecorts with one or two cars......

If you're buying loo rolls, you can go to umpteen stores in a single day to seek them out and then repeat the same procedure day after day.

If you're filling up your car's petrol tank then, unless you drive hundreds of miles every day, you can't keep going back again so, obviously, there must come a point where almost everybody has a full tank anyway.
Picked some diesel up at our Morrisons Monday, no problem, drove straight in.
Not round here in East London!!! Queues still never ending.
thank goodness i don't drive....
I passed a garage yesterday which had no customers filling their tanks. Three hours later on my return journey drove into same garage and noticed still no vehicles. I asked the attendant if they were dry and he said " No, we have plenty of fuel but no customers".
On Wednesday we drove around 50 miles in West Berkshire and north Hampshire and didn't see a single queue for fuel.
