Being a fella, I obviously can't tell you about how well (or otherwise) HRT treatment has helped me with the menopause!
However I have been using ladies' HRT patches for the past year and a half as part of a medical trial for prostate cancer. I can report that changing them twice a week is an absolute doddle for me and (apart from developing some boobs!) I've not experienced any side effects at all.
Thanks calmck and Buen. Good to hear feedback. I’ve always had the impression they had nasty side effects and I’d be better off just putting up with symptoms but I am starting to wonder!
If you have a gynaecologist you need to discuss all the options with them. Everyone reacts differently and you might have to try various options. When I was taking a pill I had to take it at night as they made me nauseous and then switched to the patches
