We are all familiar with how Black music has influenced that of white performers in recent times, but how many of us know anything about the roll Blacks played in Georgian times, or much earlier in British history? Or how it compares with that of White people?
//but how many of us know anything about the roll Blacks played in Georgian times, or much earlier in British history? Or how it compares with that of White people?//

Perhaps a more relevant question might be - How many of us care? (Oh - and its ROLE not ROLL)
on the one hand they moan about "racism" on the other they create segregatory events like this. Surely the aim is to have no categorisation by race yet they seem to set up and do just that by these "Black....(insert name of event)" events. I just don't see how it helps.

If I were a black person reading your comment..."how many of us care?"...I'd probably find it to be a bit insulting.

As for Black History Month...it's been in the UK for over 30 years. Originally started in the US in 1926.
does black history month imply that all other months its white history also how is history for a colour a thing when it involves everyone history is history
"starts today and at the moment it is quite relevant but for how much longer do you think we need a Black History Month ?"
