Unusual Pain In Lower Abdomen...?
6 Answers
Ive had an unusual pain in my lower abdomen for a few days now - but its unusual because its more 'tender'
but its also a bit like appendicitis type pain - in that it doesnt hurt (much) when fingers are pressed into it, but really hurts when theyre pulled out quickly.
its all the way across both sides and low.
i have no other unusual symptoms
i have PCOS, but this is not like any pain have ever had with that, & in fact i've not had much pain from that in years really - just aches at periods & ovulation - its also different from the pain get when my ovaries feel swollen & its not in 1 or 2 places, its the whole area.
no chance of pregnancy
any ideas?
thanks
(obviously i will go to the docs regardless if it doesnt go away soon)

While I wouldn't immediately leap to the same conclusion as PP, his suggestion is worth bearing in mind:

First of all, the above description is NOT "classical " rebound tenderness and doesn't indicate any peritoneal irritation in your original post,
Rebound tenderness is elicited by the "flat" of the hand NOT the fingers. An important diagnostic difference.
Your pain could be due to many things, but from your OP I would suggest that a cyst has burst or even bled.
At the moment no big deal, but monitor the situation for the next few days.
