Can anyone recommend a GOOD windscreen washer additive which DOESN'T leave you with a smeared or greasy windscreen. I've tried many and even after cleaning windscreen with undiluted additive or vinegar, still have same problem after I use washers.

I remember ther choice of the local ned's with flashy cars was always Clearalex which comes in a small sachet in powder form.....must be good if they used it in their cars........Have you checked to make sure that your fluid container in the car and pipes to the washer jets are clean?
Knacked wiper blades also have the same affect. Clearalex can build up and clog pipes if over used and not diluted correctly.
ps One side affect of using screen washer is that over time it can harden the rubber of the wiper blade and therefore reducing its clearing ablity.

and no it dont work with durex, so dont go there.

you'd fall of the bonnet at any decent speed anyway....
