Normally I have family commitments on Sundays but told my job on interview I could work 7 days a week but now I can only do Monday to Saturday 8am-22.00pm as aswell transport not great on a Sunday. The company itself has approved my availability but what do I say to recruitment manager?
Pasta waves to smow:) Abbey...just tell them you usually have family commitments on Sundays. If those commitments are, say, in the morning...you could do late afternoon. A bonus if they pay more for weekends. If travel is difficult on weekends, make sure you mention that also.
When you said 7 days a week, that would be taken as *available * those days. Same...I hope...for the hours 8am to 2200pm. They surely can't expect or require anyone to work 7 days straight...or 14 hour shifts. Is this McDonald's?
Agree with pasta - you’re just saying that you are available on any of those days, not that you want to work every single one of those days straight! (Hi pasta!)

It might also be good to come up with a response to being asked, 'Why didn't you mention this before? You said you could work {be available?] 7 days a week.'
Apologise for giving the wrong impression & tell him/her that you won't be able to work on Sundays. If they say you can't have the job at least you will have avoided a difficult situation further down the line.
