Hp Colour Laserjet Cartridges
2 Answers
Some time ago I bought 4 OEM toner cartridges for my HP Colour Lasrjet ProM254dw. i tried to install them this week only to find that the printer refuses to recognise them. it appears that HP installed an update to the firmware which ensures that only HP cartridges will work in their printers. Two questions: Is it legal for HP to do this without advising the owners of the printers of the consequences; Is there a way of reversing this update? Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Sorry I can't answer your question but I used to have the same problem with OEM cartridges I used to buy off eBay, it was hit & miss if they used to work, so that's why I went down the subscription route.
