Barsel, I got right into Family trees a few years ago when I was first diagnosed with RA and basically confined to the house. Its all consuming, and I really should get back into it. I found a few skeletons in cupboards on my maternal side , which answered questions long unknown why certain members didn't get on. I also found what looked like a bigamous marriage until I later found the original couple never divorced and the second wife never actually married the husband but had three children with him, all assumed to be his, no one checked certificates in those days! I have enough material to write at least three Catherine Cookson type book, and they are all set from Northumberland down to Croft-on-Tees near Darlington. Intriguing stuff -I live a very quiet life in comparison to some of my descendants!
