Off to use my oven for getting the evening meal (known as tea by me). I'm having baked fish and OH has a steak - not oven baked.
What is anyone else having?
I've just had pan fried spicey sea bass with a few giant shell-on Argentinean shrimp, sliced avocado and cherry tomatoes on the side. Early for me, as I only had a slice of seed toast with a scraping of marmite at noon.
Aubergine Stack : Home-grown aubergines layered with mince mixture and cheese, baked in oven until cheese is crispy on top. They are having the same sauce but with spaghetti.
Half a can of baked beans emptied into a casserole dish, with a generous sprinkling of gravy granules (10 months beyond their 'best before' date) added on top. Then an equally generous measure of hot chilli powder added before stirring it all together with three Morrison's 'value' sausages and sticking it in the oven on Gas Mark 2 for an hour and a half. Served with a well-buttered jacket potato. (Sounds revolting but tastes absolutely lovely!).
Followed by a generous portion of fresh raspberries and Cornish ice cream.
I like to make sure we both have a good portion of veg every day, pasta, for our general health.
Sometimes it’s not possible due to circumstances, doesn’t make me happy though.
