Charging a motorcycle battery

I have a battery charger it says I can charge either 6v or 12v. My motorcycle battery says Charging method 5amp 1 hour. What does this mean? DO I select 6v or 12v?

You need to find out if your battery is 12v or 6v adjust your battery charger to suite. if you look at your battery count the vents on the top, usually it 2 volts per cell, ie: 6 cells 12 volts
