bobbi do it - you've spent a fortune ,and been worried about Lola, it really is not on, any vet should have thought about fleas before anything else really.

Bobbs - I got Maxie on a Saturday and my brother had just been buried the previous Tuesday so I was upside down per se. I met a lady from gumtree and I didn't realise that he was in a very bad state and just took him. I had just lost Harvey 5 months earlier and wanted a dog badly.
On the Monday I brought him to the groomer as he literally had 3 curls on his back but pink skin etc but wanted him to feel clean. His feet were red and bleeding and his side which he kept sucking was sorta bleeding too. The more he sucked he yelped with pain.
A few weeks later I found he had fleas and I was demented because they jumped all over the bottom of my legs - right under the knee. I bought Advantage (think that was the right word) but since I had allowed him upstairs, I used three sprays, mattress, stairs, living room - literally everywhere. I will never forget it, but the moral of my story was why didn't the groomer see that he wasn't well that day.
I never told any one and so I went through this ordeal on my own,
On top of that Maxie was deeply subservient, wouldn't eat, when he did vomited everywhere. Always very sick in the car. It went on for a few months - well it felt like that.
I hope I never come through that ever again. But I was mad at the groomer. By the way the groomer was operating in the vets - I asked her was he ok but I did think her demeanour was extremely hesitant when she yes.
The Advantage worked for me - it was a big orange tin. I've just looked at a drawer but can't seem to find it. But it worked.
The two of us were ate alive. good luck with whatever you get. Maxie is getting groomed next Friday and will get flea treatment that day.

I had a rough coated JR who was allergic to fleas.
I used to groom him frequently with a flea comb as well as using flea control.
Poor little thing was very distressed even if he only had one bite.
He was black and white but mainly white so easier to see than Lola's.
Vet should have found out at once.
