Can I Use Self Signed Certificate For Public Domain?
2 Answers
I have a website hosted on a server on which I have installed self signed certificate. If I install the same self signed certificate on the client device that is on the internet and access the public domain, will that be trusted? if not why?

They would then need to authorise an exception to their browser's security checks, in order to be able to view your site. Given that to do so typically requires such a user to click on a button marked 'Advanced settings' (or similar), the vast majority of potential visitors to your site would simply quit at that stage.
