naomi I'll repeat, I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I've repeatedly reported these threads by the way -hence me asking publicly on the Eds blog. I purposefully did not put it in Chatter Bank, and the question is aimed at the Editor.

APG, If you’ve repeatedly reported the threads and nothing has happened surely the assumption would be that the Ed is happy with them - hence no reason for you to pursue the matter further either here or anywhere else.

One of the posters has posted loads of threads on a range of topics mainly relating to religion and the meaning of words slim&shady, plus a small number about alcohol. They are the main poster's on in the early hours and just seem like two people in there early 20s who need a chat and have something in common in terms of being 'on the scale' or having experience of it. Me I report alot of spam but it never ocurred to me this could be spamming/product placement and a still don'nt think it is, the seem's no case to answer to me

I am not nor have ever been 'offended' by any of these potentially 'spammy' posts. I leave that to the chronically outraged brigade. Personally, its neither here nor there, and as the Editor has decided to completely ignore the question I asked, I can only conclude either they know about it and are sanctioning it, or they feels is such a load of rubbish it doesn't warrant an answer. Either way I truly will not lose any sleep over it. LOL!

We'll keep an eye on this matter - it is strange, but there are no links involved so I'm not that concerned at the moment.

The best way to bring this kind of thing to the editors' attention is to report it instead of creating a thread about it. I'd also appreciate if people didn't speculate whether two members are the same person - it would be a bit mean if it turned out they were both legitimate. Again, any concerns on that front, just email us.

For what it's worth, we have received no reports from anybody about that particular thread.

The ironic thing is, is that the thread was basically ignored by everyone until APG highlighted it in this thread and drew everyone's attention to it. If it was product placement (I'm with Naomi on this, I think it was just two people talking about alcohol), you've done little other than widen their audience.
