Are there any everyday sounds that for some reason greatly irritate you ?
Personally i cannot stand the sound of a hot drink being poured into a cup or glass, am i alone?
Other liquid based outpourings dont bother me in the slightest, i like the sounds of a waterfall or a babbling brook, but if an advert comes on involving tea or coffee pouring i have to reach for the mute button on my remote. Cant explain it.

I am exactly the same surreyman - I also hate the sound of hit drinks pouring - odd isn't it? I also cannot stand the sight or sound of anyone cleaning their teeth, including me!! I have to close my eyes and have the water on full to try and drown out the sound. If it occurs on tv or film, I have to close my eyes and wait for it to be over.

Listening to someone eating an apple sets my teeth on edge.
The canary in full voice when I play music, noisy little g i t
I shouldn't say this, as it's a client who does it, very occasionally. Grinding teeth. It seems to actually hurt mine.
Extractor hood; drill, angle grinder; vacuum cleaner; announcements over the PA in shops.
The very worst sound that can send me into an internal rage and make me want to punch the person responsible is throat/nose hawking.
A dripping tap.

Noted - LOL.
Mine shuts up eventually......
Apparently the Queen Mum couldn't stand the sound of ice cubes clinking in her gin and tonic or gin and dubbonet. So they used to make round ice cubes just for her!
My own toe joints cracking when I walk with bare feet or socks. It feels excruciatingly embarrassing if we have visitors.
