If you nip north to Cambridgeshire there is Wood Green animal shelter on the road in between Royston and Huntingdon at Godmanchester. They have absolutely hundreds of animals needing a good home. Their web site is www.woodgreen.org.uk
Yes - I looked on Many Tears but they are in South Wales and probably wouldnt want to come all this way to vet us. I looked on their web site yesterday and cried my eyes out - how can some people be so cruel?
Hi Sally :-) we just picked up Dylan our Doberman from Many Tears, and we're 300 miles away and went for the weekend and had an amazing time!!! they have home vetters everywhere and please, if you can get one from there......
I recommend Beudy Bach Bed and Breakfast as a stay over aswell.....
Many Tears web page is down at the mo, but I know she went and rescued a load of puppys from an abusing puppy farm Friday.

Im also in herts, there is Southridge RSPCA centre in london colney, when i was little my dad used to take me to look round there, he had no intention of me or him getting a pet & i often left in tears!
But a few years back i did a weeks voluntary work there, and the place is amazing!
we went to see a dobie at kimpton blue cross, bless him, he was gorgeous, but when we took our samoyed to meet him, the dobie wanted to literallly eat him alive!
