The Real Hustle
6 Answers
Caught this by accident tonight on BBC3 10.30. Actors set up 'real ' hustles on members of the public and then film them and show how it is done and ways to prevent it happening to you. They showed how they could nick keys through the letter box using long pole with hook or magnet picking keys from a jacket pocket left on the newel post (?) at the bottom of the stair . Also how they can switch your card at cash machine etc Fascinating. It certainly makes you more aware of how sophisticated some hustles can get.

Everyone was like 'no way - the height is far more' so he measured it buy wrapping a tissue/napkin around the top and marking where it met. Then he dropped it down by the side of the glass and it proved that the circumference was indeed larger than the height.
It turns out that the height of your average pint glass is 15cm whereas the circumference is 27cm so as long as your pile of ashtrays etc plus the glass is less than roughly twice the height of the glass, you should win the bet.
