Son just phoned to say he's got his jeep stuck in the river. Hubby gone to tow him out. Now he knows that fjord gets deeper at this time of year, but he loves using it just for fun. Right outside our local pub!! Bet they are having a laugh. In would expect this of a youth but not a responsible married man of 38!! I give up.

My brother's friend got his Landrover stuck in the sinking sand at Morecambe Bay a good few years back. He phoned his mate who went up with his Landrover to tow him out. There are now two Landrovers beneath the sands at Morecambe Bay.

There's a ford near to us that regularly gets cars stuck in it despite Road Closed signs being posted.I guess some idiots just cann't get it into their heads that you just cann't drive through 5ft of water, no matterhow much of a hurry you're in. In fact this paticular ford at Rufford is the one the AA is called out to rescue cars from then any where else in the UK

To be fair to son, Paddywak, we know and understand that ford so well and if you take the right path through it, it is quite shallow. Son was only wet up to his knees. Our friend the farmer came out on his tractor and got him out. So it will cost son a pack of beer!!
