I think my fish are scared of my main tank light but they seem to enjoy life when it is off and just the room light is on

how can i dim my light without buying a new one there isnt a dimmer or anything

are they maybe just scared still since i made some tank changes its been like 2 or 3 days

thanks that article is helpful somewhat i mean i do have led lights and i dont have it on all the time maybe from 1pm - 8:30pm kind of time it used to be 9am but since the fish dont like it i thought id turn it on later maybe i need to just go to the pet store and ask

If you google 'fish tank light unit dimmer', you'll find plenty of information on dimming fish tank lights. Maybe that's all that your fish want, a dimmer light.

all of the dimmers seem dangerous

also how would i attach it because my light is plug to light i would have to cus the cord to fit this piece wouldnt i?

I have an update about my fishies bless them so there was a big white rock in my tank it was huge this rock it had loads of holes in it to create hiding spots and swimming channels for my small fishies so i thought hmm these danios like the dark substrate maybe they hate this white rock when the light reflects off it or maybe they dont like swimming above it

Luckily my gravel is black so i took away this rock and instantly they enjoy the tank more so i went and got some small dark rocks to create hidie spots for them and they are loving life living it to their best
