According to Wicki, in the Finnish forces, the Sam Browne was called the 'command belt' or 'officer belt'.
I would have thought the shoulder strap would go over the left shoulder to support a pistol/holster on the right side of the belt. Maybe the designer was left-handed!
tho' I suppose the shoulder strap end up on the other side at the back!
