Talktalk Real Or Not?
13 Answers
This morning I received an email, seemingly from Talktalk (my ISP) saying they will be upgrading my broadband to fibre, meaning faster speeds at no extra costs and that I will get a phone call from an Outreach engineer letting me know when the upgrade will take place. They don't ask for any personal details, etc, but how do I know this isn't a scam?...anyone else on TalkTalk had a mail like this? - and apropos of nothing, why do I get "red flag" preceding some emails and not others, they're not important? Ta Muchly and Keep Well All.

ael - the possible "catch" was having to commit to TalkTalk for 18 months/2 years or something. I've been with them for many years and always been happy with the service, so it was a no-brainer. I was already on fibre but the upgrade to even-faster fibre was arranged with Openreach and went very smoothly.
