I have loads of photos on my PC which I would like to back up on a CD. Do I need to load a disc to do this, or can I download something online? And is it easy ?? :)

Which operating system are you using? If XP then just right click the folder with your photos in and choose Send To --- > CD-RW Drive. If not XP then you need to use the software that came with your CD Writer to burn a data disc. You do have a CD Writer?
As long as you have a cd or a dvd writer you can transfer images to them ... windows media player will allow you to do it ... or you can open the disc (double click the drive with the disc) and then drag each or all the images to the drive ... the pc will then burn them to the disc ...
The first two answers assumed that you have a cd writer. If you don't ,another option that may be worth exploring would be to save the photos onto a memory card. If you don't have a memory card reader / writer you can one for less than a tenner and a 512MB memory card - on which you'll be able to store several hundred photos (depending on resolution) is about the same price. The card reader plugs into a USB socket; the memory card slots into the reader and then you can simply drag 'n' drop from your hard drive onto the memory card. Easy peasy - I've just done it myself !
