Morning, Sunday already, where has this week gone. I hope that you are all as well as can be, and that you have as good a day as possible. I am on here earlier than normal, if this continues i will end up on Mamy's late night thread. But i have my coffee and have started the my day.
Anyone doing anything special today? I am off out later on this morning to the local church, where they have a bring and share lunch, so I will take some goodies to share with the parishioners. I am looking forward to it, afterwards i am going back with friends to theirs for coffee and a natter. Enjoy your day...
she wanted her ashes scattered in Camden Lock, near to where she used to live, but that isn't going to happen, as it would be getting everyone up to London and that's a worse scenario than down on the beach where there is unlikely to be anyone around.
it will be closure after 4 and half years since she was cremated.
why don't you split them - the major part on the beach and then you bring a small part back to strew them across the lock - then you have met her wishes - just a thought?
looks like everyone has gone off to get ready, i have showered and have my clothes set out, so it's just a waiting game till the i am off too. Its calmed down a lot, and i think has stopped raining, which is good.
Used to have tripe and onions cooked in milk when I was little in the fifties, and I don't remember disliking it. In those days you could buy cooked tripe from the fish and chip shop. My father considered it a treat to have cold tripe with vinegar and a portion of chips. Also 'black tripe', (a greyish colour), was considered the best!! I grew up in Manchester, so maybe it is a northern thing?
