Morning, Monday already and the start of the working week for some. I hope that you are all well and that your day is a good one. The Christmas party yesterday was lovely and what with seeing West Side Story at the cinema on Saturday, its made a perfect weekend.

If you're the first in after renovation it shouldn't be too bad. Nothing worse than cleaning up after other people. We helped some friends move and I spent hours scraping horrible thick grease off the top of the fitted cooker. Washing and scouring it wasn't enough. I had to get a knife to it. And don't mention the fridge! Urrgghhh! Disgusting.

I have moved so many times with the job, mainly internationally as well....so one gets a system going - today is 30 mins of unpacking and time to be spent finalising where furniture goes and what we bring from the storage unit tomorrow morning. I can't take it all unfortunately.

Been there, done that - the last place was one of my worst - the oven a grease pit and then the kitchen and bathroom fans, gross. The agents even covered 6 hours of the woman who was my mother's part-time carer and cleaner - and she's one of those like the two who cleaned on the BBC..... Number of moves? This is number 14 I believe.

a flat in an old Victorian house - the ceilings have been lowered and stuffed with sound insulation, so quite the padded cell!
