Strange Question I Know.

I know this may sound like a strange question, but are there things that we 'celebrate' in this county that they don't celebrate in other countries for instance.
Do other countries have November the 5th with fireworks and bonfires and do the children believe in Father Christmas? Is Remembrance Sunday noted the way it is here?
Are there other things we have a special date for that other countries don't have?

I wouldn't say better at all, Barsel. Just depends on an individual's interest and the teachers I had. Some of mine were great but they had discipline off to a "T" :)

I honestly can't remember what I learnt at school, it left no impression on me at all.

Yes, I do remember learning those, but they are gradually starting to fade from my memory with the help of a calculator.

I suspect Waterloo and Trafalgar went the same way as Oak Apple Day, which, imo, is dreadful as the act to ignore Oak Apple Day and others, was in 1859(?)

No-one in Scotland thinks that, no more than they celebrate 15 April 1967.
