morning, Saturday already and the weekend starts here. I hope that you are in good form and that your day is a very good one. Its another early start though i hope some are awake to keep me company. Anything planned for today? I am having a quiet day i hope, as i was out yesterday lunching with a mate, which was lovely. I need to start my list for what to take away next week.

Is it just you and your two brothers and their families? Being a Bank Holiday I presume they're not working so it shouldn't be too difficult.
Question Author
my mum moved there when my youngest brother was 5, he's now 49, so she spent more time in Bognor than in London even though she always said she wished she could move back to London, she never did.
Question Author
my middle brother has been retired for a long while - the youngest one is not working i don't think till after the NY.
I hear Bognor has changed a lot. I haven't been there for years.
Question Author
i honestly don't know how many there will be could be a dozen could be more....
Question Author
sorry to say i always hated it, except for the beach on sunny days.
I remember there was a lovely park there. I can't think of the name. Was it Highams or something like that? And I remember a nice clock tower in the middle of the town - and the bus garage near the sea front where we got so excited because we were going on a green bus rather than the red ones we were used to in London. Why don't you like it, emmie?
Question Author
its got a small town mentality, though it's changed a lot over the years, Bognor shopping area is small, only two streets long, and i didn't like the place when i first went there.
Question Author
Its a pretty Hotham Park, but not that big... not what i am used to. Bus station went years ago. But you can get the mainline buses to Portsmouth or Brighton, but they take forever.
Hotham! That's it. I knew it began with 'H'.
Question Author
good to take the children to, Hotham park is where we used to take my youngest brother when he was little.
Didn't it have an aviary?

We used to get the bus from there to Littlehampton and Worthing and Chichester - all over the place really. I got to know Sussex quite well from my trips to Bognor.
Question Author
it might have done, though i can't recall it.

you can get to lots of places, including where youngest brother lives near Chichester. Where my mum used to live the buses were poor at the weekends, you had to hike up a very long walk to get to the nearest bus stop to go into town.
