What Are You Hoping

Santa will bring you this year?

I'm not hoping for much really. Token gifts only for OH and me this year as we decided we'd rather spend the money on a trip away (Krakow).

I would imagine I will get perfume or suchlike from the little one, or even a bottle of nice Gin.

What are you hoping to find in your stocking on Christmas morning?

I got 3 dressings gowns the other year. All lovely, but I still always wear the one that OH bought me to keep at his house not long after we started seeing each other. He bought me slippers too. I thought it was such a lovely, thoughtful gesture. I realised then he was a keeper :-)

I saw a lovely D gown in M&S yesterday , light grey and silky fleece with a zip, no hood, I hate hoods on dressing gowns but I couldn’t be bothered to stand in the queues to buy it

Actually I bought one of those No 7 Gift sets for my mother that had loads of stuff in and OH knows I want one too, so hopefully he's picked one up for my birthday or Christmas...

We have decided on no presents. We've spent a lot of money in recent months. Neither of us need anything, or want anything. We are buying small gifts for son and wife and they will do the same for us. We used to give them cheques too in years gone by, but they are richer than us now. Perhaps they will give us cheques!! ;0).

So happy for you Pasta! Apart from OH winning on the postcode lottery, I'm happy with what I know I'll get - the middle book of the Mantel trilogy and some perfume (he's into looking at what I keep on the dressing-table - so I have hopes!).

There is nothing I need, most of the stuff my family buy goes to the charity shop in january. I wish they wouldn't bother, it just makes me feel guilty because I can't reciprocate.
