surely a phobia is an irrational fear of something. I don't think JK Rowling is afraid of transexuals.

Not that it particularly matters, but a gender-critical feminist is one that regards biological sex as primary and immutable. It's pretty clear that Rowling agrees with this, and I was under the impression that you did too. I should stress that I'm defining "gender-critical" neutrally, here, so it's not meant dismissively or anything. It's simply an accurate summary of her position.
