Either I'm completely mistaken or solvers are somewhat short-changed parsing-wise in the following two clues. Am I on the wrong tack?

5d. Young lady in a seaside resort in Spain? Just the reverse (5). NIECE?

10d. Maybe Joseph's adopting new role that could involve making tables (7). PLANNER?

That's what I thought but I'm in my ninth decade on Earth and I have several nieces who are in the seventh and so can hardly be described as young ladies! What's more, why the reverse? And while Joseph may have had a plan the term is not actually used in Genesis KJV version, so to call him a planner seems to be rather forced to say the least. But many thanks anyway Danny.

Bill - reverse refers to e being in nice and not nice being in spain.
Joseph was not a planner buta planer(One who uses a plane ie a carpenter).

But I still don't get niece. I knew E inside NICE But still don't get the reverse bit. Can you help?
