My wife took a pcr test at work which was sent away for analysis which came back positive. Yet she has been taking lateral flow tests at home every as she works in care, every day which have never been positive. Anyone know why that should be?

Possibly she had covid a while ago and didn't know it.

Apparently you shouldn't have a PCR test for 90 days after you had it, because there is a possibility of it still detecting it in your system.
Agree with hoppy............PCR will pick up remnants of the virus, long after the bird has flown. So positive PCR but not infectious..

LFT will only pick up the live virus.
