Everybody may see soldiers used in American attractions (7) A?L?R?S. It looks as if it has to be ALLURES (ALL + RE inside US), but that would require an ALLURE (Noun) to be an ATTRACTION.
Is this an Americanism that is not in Chambers?

Many thanks Mamyalynne. After looking more carefully in Chambers, I found it is there, although not 100% obvious. I particularly recognised "people for whom gold holds no allure".
