What a lovely cat. Perhaps he was a vicar in a previous life.
I'm a massive dog lover, but I also like cats very much and really enjoyed this story. Dogs and cats enhance anything for me.
Oh what a gorgeous boy!
I love cats. They enrich our lives. On their terms of course.
The patron saint of cats is one St. Gertrude of Nivelles,

St. Gerty, I ask you I pray
Safeguard our Norwich kitty this and each day.
Defend him from those who might wish him harm.
Keep them in the cathedral and home safe from danger and storm.
Instill in his slaves wisdom to care for him and others well.
Pray, fill us all with strength never to yell.
And Gertrude, a last thing I beseech from thee,
Protect my robes from claws and my altar cloths from pee.

Amen.

Yes, I know that Norwich begins with a N - it was the first thing they taught us in the Cambridge seminary.

It's actually Nickers Off READY When I Come Home.

^^^ That's understandable though, DTC. In Norfolk they don't know their Rs from their elbows ;-)
You two counties have your differences but you don't have the scone/jam/cream war as we do down here!

Jam first, DTC!
Good man.....
it's easier for the cats can also get to the clotted cream as well.
Not that they should eat it!

However, Her Maj does and the good news is that the Palace will allow you in for the garden parties, Chris.

Lovely story, thanks. Reminds me of the little local church in the village where I worked. We turned up with the pupils for the school carol service and the church cat was asleep in the hay, by the manger, under the nice warm light bulb.
That’s a lovely story x
There are many FB pages showing cats who lurk in various places or actually work there.

Batman, Tram Cat works at a tram stop, Percy was made redundant from his joke at a Heritage Railway (Okehampton), Felix and Bolt work at Huddersfield railway station. It is part of their plan for world domination.
