The Nexplanon Implant?

I was wondering about this and it seems to bug me time to time,but I had the nexplanon implant in my left arm,I got it implanted in the 2nd day of my period,after having this put in we're still using protection but in 2 occasions we didn't use any condoms/protection since I'm on the implant,so I'm wondering would I need to take the morning after pill and am I still safe from pregnancy,I'm a little confused about this as I heard u don't need to use condoms and you'll won't get pregnant since I'm on the implant,I was going to ask my doctor for a backup plan to be extra sure.Also has anybody's period stopped as I've heard this is a side effect..If anybody has any side effects what we're they?
