Not nice, but fairplay to you for putting up with her behavior.. I know I wouldn't. Don't feel guilty if you want to have nothing to do with her, after all it seems like you were neglected by her while she was "all there".

I don’t suppose being away from her own environment and routine has helped her ?

She stays in her home refusing all medical and care input, she doesn't eat properly, and no longer manages her medication. We explained to the GP she won't accept carers but might allow a district nurse in to supervise meds but we were told thats a care function and to contact social services. We tried to get the GP to understand she will not allow them in because she is terrified of going into a home and friends had experiences with carers stealing and being aggressive. We have no money to buy in services. When she is more alert she becomes more manipulative lying to family members about things we haven't said, or done.

Thankfully, Mr F was neither agressive or manipulative all the way to the end.
His mother, and my mother in particular were.
My Mum did some truly awful things, like a naughty child - but with vicious intent. The only time I ever had a falling out with my brother and my sister we realised it was Mum instigating it, he said, she said sort of thing.
