Leonard Nimoy most famous for the role of Spock actually did some directing including Star Trek 3 the search for Spock and of course Star Trek 4, the voyage home but in a complete change of subject matter he also directed "Three men and a Baby".

did you also know that in the Star Trek Pilot, Spock was not the first officer, that was Majel Barrett who later became Nurse Chappel, the voice of the computer, Lwaxana Troy and of course Gene Rodenberry's Mrs!
Was she not Lwaxana Tro?

I re-watched the original series last year. It was ahead of its time in many ways but it was quite sexist.
Lwaxana Troi .. I dunno what happened to the'i' my first attempt.

Troi, my bad!
He was also in the Donald Sutherland remake of Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers - great film.
The things you learn on AB.
Invaluable.
Yes, I did know all that (I am a geek after all) before the Trek films, he actually directed an episode of TJ Hooker, the American cop show starring William Shatner.

Nimoy was actually my birthday twin, both of us born March 26th.
He also played Paris in the TV series Mission Impossible.

The city or the socialite?
Did you know: Apparently without the persistence of Lucille Ball (of I Love Lucy fame) who recognised its potential when others rejected it, Star Trek may never have got off the ground (pun intended).
Thank goodness for Lucy, otherwise William Shatner may never have been launched.
