Mozz - // //I never understand why Home alone, Wonderfull Life and Die Hard are considered Christmas Films//
I can, but I don't get why, if these films are (add Gremlins to that list), how come Lethal Weapon, Iron Man 3 and Trains, Planes and Automobiles are not. //
It's the same with Christmas singles.
For me, a 'Christmas Film' is a film that involves the spirit of Christmas, like It's A Wonderful Life, rather than one that is simply set at that time of year, like Die Hard.
With singles, obviously Slade's Merry Xmas and Wizard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day are 'Christmas Signles' because that is what they are about.
Unlike Two Thousand Miles by The Pretenders, or Stop The Cavalry by Jona Lewie, which simply happen to mention the word Christmas twice in the lyrics, and in my view, don't count.
