I’m moving home next week, I have done a major decluttering, The big furniture is going next week eg chests of drawers! Etc. With a man & van! Question is do the drawers that contain clothes need to be emptied, it seems silly to empty them and put the clothes in boxes, surely they will take the drawers out, move the carcass and put them in again for the journey, nothing fragile? Any comments or hints! I will come back for the other bits there is now deadline for key drop off - Anything fragile will be bubble wrapped! 4 bedrooms to a small bungalow! It’s stressful to say the least! Thank You
Tell me about it! As with Zacs.....the chap who came to give me a quote last week for a part move said I can leave the items in the chest of drawers....paying to move air otherwise.... good luck with the move.... :-)
We went through that a couple of months ago. Good luck ! I had a major clear out and took any clothes that hadn't been worn in the last 6 months to the charity shop. We were also very ruthless throwing out keepsakes etc. and haven't missed a thing. Although I have "lost" a complete set of sheets. No regrets though.
Leave everything in the drawers. We used professionals to move to Germany from 4 bedrooms, lounge, living room, kitchen, studio, workshop and more, when they said they would do it with ONE vehicle, I couldn't believe it, it was the largest size but they got everything in including, woodworking machinery, petrol mower, garden furniture and two bikes!
Amazing how they dovetailed everything in
