Instead of taking snipes at the Americans just what would you suggest they do about it?

With an estimated 400+ million guns across the States how would you stop people having guns, especially the illegal ones like probably happened here?

And remember you cant ban guns outright like the UK, many people like hours away from help, they have to be able to defend themselves.
