Electric cooker or gas cooker?
3 Answers
I am about to buy a new ranger cooker and want one that is gonna cost a fair bit of my measly salary. The one I want is a dual fuel (gas hob, electric oven) and should hopefully last me for years. Considering it is gonna cost me just under 2000, it better had! Anyway, I am concerned that my plan to invest in such an appliance will be futile, as I reckon that that gas will either run out or be too expensive to use in say 10 - 15 years.
What do you think/ know. Is the end of domestic gas gonna happen in my lifetime (I am 31)
Thanks

You will be fed up of it, it will look shabby and not match the newest cookers on the market.
Such is the way today - no matter how expensive they are they are not built to last. Parts will be hard to come by if it develops a fault. And the manufacturers know we just love to buy the latest appliances.
Buy your cooker and don't worry about how things may or may not be in years to come.
Assuming you can easily afford it, of course.
