an inspector calls - mr birling

i was wondering if some body could help me. i have to write my first impressions of mr birling in the play an inspector calls but im finding it hard, i know mr birling is arrogant likes to be the center of attention and believes hes always right but i need to write a page and i cant do i withou saying the same think repeatedly so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Look at what he says about the titanic, the world war etc - we as a reader know that these things will happen, however Mr B is sure that they will not. It makes him seem like a bit of an idiot...although he is so sure of himself.
Look at the way he treats the other characters - he treats his daughter like a child, wants to impress Gerald Croft and seems more overly concerned with impressing him than he is happy to see his daughter engaged.
Read the stage directions at the start too, think how Priestley wants you to see Mr B.
