Pcr Test Done 5 Days Ago And No Results Received
7 Answers
My husband was unwell on the monday after Christmas so did a PCR test he got the results back (positive)on the Wednesday by which time I too felt unwell. I asked for a PCR on the Thursday which arrived Sunday 2nd Jan I did it and posted it in the priority box only to then find they were not collecting until 5pm Tuesday as it was bank holiday. I rang 119 and was sent another test which I did and posted on Tuesday . It is now late Saturday and no results have been sent for either test. I have now been isolating for 10 days and feel a lot better today so can go out again and I am retired so work and claiming for money lost does not apply. However I needed a rant as if my tests have not been done how many more havent and how many people are missing work still waiting for results when their tests could have been negative. It somewhat makes a mockery of the figures. I am pretty sure if my husband was positive then so was I as our symptoms were identical. Rant over

It says if you don't hear by Day 6 you should phone again.
I know you may not want to.

Generally we have got results back very fast... after a holiday I dropped my sample on a randox drop off box at a service station and got a text the next day. Once though I heard nothing back at all... turns out I hadn't done the online bit where you say what time and confirm your posting it. Did you make a note of the tracking number as that should help you.
