The cats in D.C. are part of a dedicated rescue program. I know many rescues here place feral or unsociable cats with farms. I wonder if any place them with city businesses.
I have the London transport payroll documents for a number of railway cats. Mostly recorded as Tom followed by the depot they worked. They were classed as employees with a wage that covered their food and vet bills.
