... but I'm miffed right now. My husband said he bumped into someone we know walking her dog this morning. She said, 'Don't get too close. I've just tested positive for Covid!' And there she is out and about!

Hehe I have just bought a toilet.
It appears then by a lot of the comments that we will be isolating for the next 50+ years then? :0) first it was 14 days, then 10 now its 5. Sooner or later its got to be 0, so it may be now.

I think "Don't get too close" is a perfectly reasonable thing to say to someone you know who is approaching you with a clear intention to have a conversation with you.
"So if you were covid positive and don’t report it would you isolate?"

Don't know if that is addressed to me but I would and if I didn't, I'd not be breaking the law.
The dog walker should've at least been wearing a mask if it was necessary to go out. Or let the dog run around the garden and poop. If she has a garden, of course.
Teapots1,i've seen plenty of tesco and sainsburys staff outside together smoking and chewing the cud.
