since installing live messenger updates my pc keeps telling me my copy of windows might not be genuine!! How can i stop this? Do not want 2 pay as i know it is genuine!! Can i restore my pc to facory settings without a restore disc??

Where did you get the PC from? Do you have the little label with the product key on it, and a hologram? If not, it may not be genuine.

this question might help. search on google for "genuine windows icon" and just keep searching. eventually you will find something that will remove it. i finally got rid of mine!
