My grandson is 20 months old so can't speak for his self.
I've tried a million different avenues, nspcc, barnardos.
The original SW , gave my son confidentiality information.
She actually asked my son if he'd caused the bruising on our grandson, he said no and case closed!
I wrote to the head of SS
She investigated, the SW was fired, we were given an apology and the case re opened.
Literally the only luck we've had on our side is both parents actually do not care for him and don't actually want him.
9 days in ten months we went without seeing our grandson (our son fell out with us so stopped us seeing him) so luckily he's with us most of the time.
Believe me im doing everything in my power to protect him.
I just can't believe that with the sw's fears, health cares fears, police fears and we still can't stop him if he wants our grandson back.
I've been to a solicitor and basically told we have no rights.
I was told by a high up SW a couple of weeks ago to apply for a SGO, we were absolutely so excited, she told us she'd back us.
The next day when i asked again if she'd back us up she said applying for an SGO would cause a lot of family conflict, i could tell she was backing out of what she said.
