She's called Ana Matronic (her reall name is Ana Lynch and was born on 14 August 1974, in Portland, Oregon). She joined the group founded by Jake Shears and Babydaddy after they played their first live gig at a cabaret night called Knockoff which she founded and hosted at The Slipper Room on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Prior to moving to New York, Ana lived in San Francisco, where she performed at the drag club Trannyshack and was the first female to reach the finals of the Miss Trannyshack pageant. It was her experience at Trannyshack that inspired her to start the club Knockoff, intended as a "knockoff" version of Trannyshack.
Her stage name is a homage to her love of The Bionic Woman and imagery of robots (as in Audio-Animatronics). Indeed, her arm is tattoed with a robotic interior. Other influences on her include Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.
