In days gone by, I used to dip into the News Section straight away when opening AB. It was by far the best section on here. One person in particular made sure it was lively and interesting - great debates and quite a few disagreements. Others have tried since, but failed and given up, and now it's not even worth dipping into. I am sure there must be others on here that feel the same. Am I right?

the problem is that there are a few trolls that are exempt from the rules that post the same trolling tripe day in day out. I must confess to trying to fight fire with fire sometimes but never getting very far because I am subject to the rules and they are enforced on me. I suggest the ED and mods have some sort of meeting and get some sort of consistency and apply it to...

ANDY.......

////Hopefully that answers Sqad, and others who obliquely accused me of deleting his thread a few days ago./////

Obliquely???? OBLIQUELY???? Very obliquely with little fact to support your statement.

I haven't had much input here but one thing I will say. Long-time members have learnt from experience that they will receive no response to emails or reports relating to concerns about the way the site is run or to the abysmal standards of moderation.

Can only speak as I find

Have had responses to 2 queries I have sent within the last 3 months
But some of the moderation has been draconian and haphazard of late

Sticky,//I'm speaking on behalf of all long-time members who say the same. //

Which bit of that don't you understand?

As I asked :
Define long term member
I have been here in one guise or another for 18 years
You do not project my thoughts on the site
Just in case you were blissfully unaware
//Can only speak as I find //

Me too - and I do.
Sqad - // Obliquely???? OBLIQUELY???? Very obliquely with little fact to support your statement. //

OK.
You’re having a real problem this morning, sticky. Allow me to explain. If you haven't complained that you don't receive responses to your reports and emails then clearly I am not speaking on your behalf. As I said, I am speaking on behalf of those who say the same as me. I hope that helps.
Clear as mud dear ! Lol
Thick as custard

I respect your opinion Naomi24 however, I beg to differ. I am the only one who can see both sides of the story.
Thank you for respecting my opinion, SpareEd.

/Strange. Lots of complaints but no reports in my inbox. If you want content to be assessed then report it to me/

Are there not enough of us that agree with me about the News Section to consider the issue now. I personally gave up reporting non news in the News Section. No action was taken. Please look into it.

You now know that quite a few of us think the same. We are not a group, gang, blues or reds, or moaners/whingers, as has been suggested.

But my question was never about anyone in particular. It was just to find out if others felt the same. It turned into another nasty mud slinging thread.
@pat2604 - when were these "days gone by"? I've just gone back 10 years and haven't come across any that I would call "lively and interesting" debates. What did I miss?:

Ha ha I was obviously stroppy about the New Section back then! But I disagree that it was same back then as it is now.
