My elderly relative that we care for 24/7 told the GP that I had left him in a freezing cold bath for hours. He was totally believable because he was telling his truth. We don't have a bath.
Some elderly people do get distressed about things that can't possibly have happened but worse is when they don't have the words to articulate things that are happening.
This makes them so vulnerable compounded by their physical limitations.
